Salamanca, a city that receives over 30,000 international students of Spanish as a foreign language every year, has the honour of hosting the Third International Congress on the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. Spanish is spoken by more than 500 million people around the world.

The Third International Congress of Spanish: El Español Global will be held in Salamanca in June 26-28, 2013.

The Congress is being organized by The Government of Castilla y León, University of Salamanca, FIAPE (International Federation of Associations of Spanish) and EDUESPAÑA.
